Summertime Treats for Kids | Learning Ladder Academy

With summer in full swing, we have all now heard, “I’m hungry!” a million times. Here are some summertime treat ideas for kids!

Frozen Grapes
Frozen grapes are a great way to include a healthy snack in the mix for children who are at least four years of age. Allowing them to freeze can also help keep packed lunches colder for a bit!

Little Debbie Cosmic Cookies
Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies are always a hit, but they also disappear quickly. Try this Cookie version.

Pudding Pops
As a kid, we loved pudding pops. As an adult, I discovered just how easy they are to make! Get the recipe!

Frozen Watermelon
Much like frozen grapes, frozen watermelon is delicious, too! Get the kids involved with this one and make frozen watermelon kabobs!

Apple Slice Cookies
Apple slice cookies are a hands-on activity for kids as well as a snack! Slice apples, remove seeds if necessary, top with peanut butter, and then sprinkle on chocolate chips, coconut, or raisins!

Kool-Aid Slushies
You can’t go wrong with Kool-aid Slushies! They are inexpensive and easy to make! Try them now!

Fun Yogurt
Sometimes, a fun treat is just about how it’s packaged! Try putting some yogurt in an ice cream come and add some fun toppings.

Snack Bags
Other times, what’s easiest to grab and go is best. Prepare easy-to-grab snack bags to keep in the fridge or pantry.

Group Trail Mix
It’s fun to make a trail mix for a group. Everyone can bring something – such as Golden Grahams, chocolate chips, raisins, etc. and mix it all together. Each kid can get a bag of the mixture for snacking as they please for playing games or heading out into nature!

Muddy Buddies
Muddy buddies are yummy, but have you ever tried LEMON buddies? It’s a great twist for a summer treat! Get the recipe.
