Getting to Know Ms. Yasmin

This month we’re getting to know a little more about our Preschool 2 Lead Teacher, Ms. Yazmin.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to watch movies, dance and enjoy my family. I like to spend time with my church group that I lead. I also like to make things to decorate my classroom to help children learn!

Why did you choose this career?

At a very young age I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the world. I also knew that I wanted to love and protect children, therefore I put them together. I am an advocate for children!

Tell us about a favorite teaching moment or time with a child.

I worked with the cutest two year old. She had autism, she couldn’t use a cup or a spoon to eat. After being with me for only 2 weeks she began to use a cup with little to no spills and with a little reminder she would also use her spoon! That is my reason for working with children…to help them succeed.

Favorite place you’ve been and why?

Dallas, Texas!

We are huge Dallas Cowboys fans and we got to visit the stadium, tour the locker rooms and take pictures on the field.

Best advice for parents:

Love and protect your children with everything in you!  Encourage them to be themselves and to strive to be better!

Thank you Ms. Yazmin! 🙂
