Our child care experience is designed to promote each child’s own individual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Directors

Miss Amy is the Director of Learning Ladder Academy. She comes to us with 25 years of director experience and a passion for working with young children. She has her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery County Community College. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her two children, going to new places, and just relaxing.

Miss Monica is the Co-Assistant Director of Learning Ladder Academy. She is very excited to join the Learning Ladder Team! Miss Monica has over 20 years of experience working with children. She has her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program for administration.

Miss Monica and her husband of 30 years and their daughter have just moved to the area and look forward to exploring! Her older daughter lives in Maryland with her husband and their one-year-old son! Miss Monica looks forward to getting to know all of you and your children!

Miss Merari is the Assistant Director of Learning Ladder Academy. She has worked with children and families in New Jersey and our local community for over twenty-five years. Miss Merari started her career as a children’s Sunday school teacher, then drove school buses for many years, and has gained experience in the passing years with all Early Childhood Education age groups in various program structures, including Autistic, Behavioral health, among others. She is currently a chaplain and has also worked in the medical field. Miss Merari has also worked as a youth counselor and holds an Associate’s Degree in Administration.

Working with children has always been her passion. Being a mother of five wonderful children and a grandmother, she loves seeing children learn new things and the excitement it brings. She is excited to be an Assistant Director at Learning Ladder Academy with our fantastic team to provide leadership and positive guidance for the most fun and successful outcome.

Infants

Miss Sara is the Lead Teacher in the Infant Classroom and has been with LLA since December 2020. She has worked in childcare for the past five years and absolutely loves it! Originally from Indiana, PA, where she attended the Indiana University of PA, Sara and her husband moved to the Wyomissing in December and enjoy their spare time exploring the area.

Miss Alana is an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Classroom. She is a mom to one kid and recently moved to the area! Miss Alana worked with kids through Girl Scouts since she was 11 years old. She loves reading, writing, hiking, and listening to 80s music. Miss Alana is looking forward to getting to know the babies!

Miss Allie is an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Classroom. She has two boys; the oldest is in 4th grade, and the youngest is 2. Miss Allie has two dogs and a cat. She loves to go hiking and play at the park with her dogs.  In the Spring, she added two chickens and two ducks to her family.  She also loves to travel and go to the beach in the summer. She is flexible and friendly. She loves working with children. She is an easygoing person.

Preschool

Miss Lori is the Lead Teacher in the Preschool 2 Classroom. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked in childcare since 1983. Loris has worked as an infant teacher for over 20 years, a toddler teacher and infant specialist, a preschool inclusion teacher for about ten years, and a school-age teacher. She and her husband recently celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary and have one grown daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys training, competing in rallies, nose work with her dogs, researching her family history, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time in nature. She looks forward to spending time and working with the children and their families at LLA.

Miss Katie M is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 2 Classroom. She attended Millersville University for Early Childhood Education and plans to return to school for her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education!

Miss Jacque is the Lead Teacher in the Preschool 1 Classroom. She’s currently working on finishing her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education for grades Pre-K – 4th. Miss Jacque has worked with children her whole life and has been teaching for seven years. She’s excited to become an even better teacher and share her many talents to help guide the children she will work with.

Miss Samantha is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 1 Classroom and a genuine soccer mom. She and her husband enjoy watching their daughter’s games. Miss Samantha has a daughter in grade 5 and a daughter in grade 11 who plays goalie for her high school team. Her son is a sophomore at Bloomsburg University. She also has two cats, two dogs, and a leopard gecko inherited from her son.

Pre-K

Miss Katie is the Lead Teacher in our PK-1 Classroom. She started working with kids during her high school years in a child development class. She then moved on to early education, and in her final year, as a student aid in first, third, and fifth grade. Katie graduated from Wilson HS in 2015 and college in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Child and Family Studies. Aside from schooling, she coached youth soccer for two years and has worked at Kindercare for two years. A few of her favorite pastimes include playing with her two dogs, Molly & Dingo, and spending time with her four nephews and niece.

Miss Alma is an Assistant Teacher in our PK-1 Classroom. She’s been working with children for six years. She has her CDA from infant and toddler. She likes to play kickball in her free time. Her future goal is to keep growing as an educator and mother.

Toddler, Twaddler and Prepper Team

Miss Katie is the Lead Teacher in our Twaddler Classroom and has been with us since February 2007. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Kutztown University. Her favorite thing about working with young children is watching their little personalities develop and shine!

Miss Lauren is an Assistant Teacher in our Twaddler Classroom.  She is excited to work in that room, and her energy and enthusiasm show!

Miss Brandy is an Assistant Teacher in our Twaddler Room and loves working with toddlers. She loves building bonds with the children and watching their personalities shine through. Teaching and helping them grow is another favorite part of working with her little ones. Miss Brandy says it’s an honor to love and work with the students daily.

Miss Erin is the Lead Teacher in our Toddler classroom. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Writing from Penn State and aspires to be a children’s book author. She’s a proud Aunt and Godmother and has 15 years of experience in childcare. She’s been here since 2012 and cannot imagine working anywhere else.

Miss Sarah is an Assistant Teacher in our Toddler classroom. Graduated from Berks Career and Technology Center in December 2020. In her free time, she likes to read books, listen to music, go for walks, and play with her cat. Sarah chose this career field because she loves working with kids and watching them thrive.

Miss Mayra is an Assistant Teacher in our Twaddler Classroom.  She’s flexible, friendly, and loves working with children. Miss Mayra is also an easygoing person.

Miss Debbie is the Assistant Lead Teacher in our Prepper Classroom. She is a mother of three beautiful kids and an army wife. Miss Debbie has been working with children since she graduated high school in 2011 and has fallen in love with working with children of all ages ever since. She enjoys teaching new things and watching them get excited and grow.

Before and After School Care / Floaters

Miss Naomi is the Lead Teacher in the School Age Room. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and has several years of experience working with children.

Mr. Donnie joined our team in June 2019 as a floater. He has his Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is pursuing his Bachelor’s. Donnie loves spending time with the children at Learning Ladder Academy when he’s not in class.

Miss Megan has been with LLA since January 2021 as a floater. She is currently pursuing a degree in engineering. In her spare time, Miss Megan enjoys spending time outdoors and playing the piano. She enjoys working with children!

Bus Driver / Floaters

Miss Leonor has been a bus driver at LLA for over two years and can confidently say she loves her job! She enjoys interacting and getting to know the kids in her care and likes to play jokes and make the children and co-workers laugh. Miss Leonor also enjoys singing songs with the children on the bus as she drives them safely to their destinations.
